Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T480s slim 14” business Ultrabook with Intel 8th gen Kaby Lake R quad core i5 and i7 processors. This is the slimmer and lighter alternative to the ThinkPad T480, and it’s less expensive (though similar to) the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It’s available with IPS full HD (touch and non-touch) and WQHD displays, an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, up to 24GB DDR4 RAM and Intel UHD 620 graphics. NVIDIA MX150 dedicated graphics is listed as optional, though we haven’t seen that model for sale yet. 4G LTE is optional, and the laptop has Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C, HDMI, Ethernet and a full size SD card slot. Pricing starts around $1,358 for a nicely equipped model.

Man I want that t-shirt. Where can I get it?
I learned how to drive on a Ford Excursion. Good memories driving that yacht around town lol
Could you please review the new Lenovo thinkpad p53. Send like a solid laptop but nobody has one I can touch and check out
It looks like the key travel is less on here than on the T480. Is that right? 'Cause that's weird that my trusty T440s would have the same key travel as the T480, but not the T480s?
It is only two USB ports.. that is unbelievable. I do not need Ethernet, but neet more USBs!!!!
Thanks for the no-nonsense review, much appreciated.
Can I buy it?
Need more hands on review on the touch screen feature.
You can do auctions on the side. Awesome review.
I just bought the Costco version of this T480s Model 20L7S01200 with i7-gen 8, 15GB memory and 512GB SSD for $1250. Good to know its upgradable which i will do in a few years when the warranty runs out. I like my laptops to last at least 6 years and hope this on is up for the longhaul.
I watched your video twice – a lot of the stuff you mentioned, i have no idea what you are talking about. I do like photos, creating videos, music etc… But mainly use for MS office docs, business stuff. It didn't come with the touch screen. Is that something that can be changed later?
Thank you for feedback.
Excellent review, thank you! Every couple months, I would daydream about getting a new laptop, and I kept finding and watching this review. I never found a brick & mortar that carried any of these models, and it was so helpful to get the size/weight/screen side-by-side comparison. Anyway, I finally settled on the T480s, and I'm loving it, thanks for your review!
Is it heavy?
Screen display of the T480s is really dim. When you face to face with the screen is fine but when you move your head to the right or left its actually turns really bad that you could not see anything..🤔
Does the 1920*1080 FHD screen make reading hard? Do you have to upscale webpage for readability? why the small 14 inch screen needs that high resolution. I like a T480s with lower resolution for daily usage.
So much talking…
Good review thanks for share
ФИРМА ЛЕНОВО ЭТО ХУЙНЯ И УЖАС1 😂😂😂😢😢😢😤😈😈
is it possible you used the same SSD benchmark screen shot for multiple reviews (may be by mistake)

@MobileTechReview,
please do a review of the lenovo thinkpad A485.
The MX150 is quite a bit better than the 8th Gen UHD Graphics . The MX150 is a Mobile GT 1030. The MX150 is better than a 950M. It's not very low end for a mobile GPU. You should opt for a MX150 when getting a T480s, especially when you want to game and do video editing and whatnot.
if only Lenovo would configure better screens😕
I use this for now 4 month and I love it, and for light gaming like fallout newvegas the Nvidia card is great also I have the 1440p Matt screen so some light room fun you can do!
the dedicated gpu maybe ok for mobile hashcat use? I am thinking of this laptop as my next purchase. To bad no dedicated graphics.
Hi I am planning to get T480s. The default configuration on website is 128 sata3 SSD. Can I swap it to 512GB NVME SSD in future.
Hi! Thanks for this! This helped me decide on my next computer. My new t480s is en route!
Very nice review
Good review my dear, keep it up.
