What is Superfetch? And how to disable Superfetch to fix “System and Compressed Memory” high disk usage, This is answered in our tech tutorial, and gives a solution to this problem where Superfetch may be the culprit in many modern Windows systems.
Note, in a windows update the “Superfetch” service was renamed “Sysmain”, it’s the same service however, If you can’t find Sysmain, search for superfetch, it depends if you updated your system or not.

My game is lagging and this is why lagging from fetch?
Guys im a poor gamer and i actually disabled sysmain.. when i enabled sysmain my hdd are going 100% and when i play csgo it stutter and lag.. and when i disable it my hdd are going 0% or 50% usage. And when i play csgo it reduce stutter and lag
im using hdd can i disable sysmain? its eating my cpu and hdd
i have 5 years old pc should i disable it

For anyone watching, it's good to know that the program can be named sysmain.
You can Google this just o fact check me but it is important to know as I didnt have anything called "super fetch"

Microsoft changed the "Superfetch" service name into "Sysmain".
Superfetch is great on my recording and editing rig. I find that its useful because it does its thing with all of my editing programs and google chrome, making everything start quickly. My editing rig is an old amd a10 7800 based system, so i quite like superfetch being enabled.
but it sucks so hard on the gaming pc. I play way too many games for this to be turned on. Couple that with my slow game storage drive and it just chugs butt.
